About the Book

Young marriages are no longer the societal norm that they once were.  When my high school boyfriend and I decided to marry at the age of eighteen, it came as a shock to friends and family alike. Many wondered if there was some sort of underlying reason behind our rush to marry, and found it hard to believe that we were marrying for love alone.

The most common question we were asked in the days after sharing the news of our engagement was why. This book is not only my way of addressing that question, but also serves to shed a new light on young marriage. In the book you will find humorous anecdotes from the early days of our marriage as well as struggles we had to endure and lessons we had to learn once we became husband and wife.

Diaries of a Teenage Bride incorporates written experiences as well as original diary entries to weave a story of young love and what it takes to make it work.

Marrying young has not always been easy, but it sure has been fun!
